“An autobiography 1915-1965.” Alan Watts, 1972.
Every 10 or 15 I years I re-read this, and for some reason I just picked it up again.
Some of the quotes are amazingly relevant even today.
I’m almost done with it; I’m at the point where he has met Timothy Leary and is watching him go from respected Harvard academic to LSD guru, and heading for a fall. Watts’ personal feeling is that LSD might be useful in some cases to show a person a possible spiritual state, but it’s not something that should be used as an end in itself.
