This is an extremely unique and disturbing film. There are good reviews of it online (start with IMDB and read some of the external reviews and some of the user comments.)
The filmmaker is not waving a political/environmental flag, but just calmly and methodically laying out the facts of the situation. That quiet tone is what makes things so awful as the impact of all the details begins to dawn. The issues he presents are interlinked in a complex way, the true horror of which doesn’t get completely revealed until the end of the film, at which time you are thinking to yourself ”surely things can’t get any worse.”
This is definitely not something to see if you’re in a sunny mood. The human race is not completely irredeemable but this certainly doesn’t present it at its best…
